Panne velvet is a type of crushed velvet where the pile has been flattened in the same direction all over. In the large majority of cases these velvet are stretchy, either because they contain elastane, or because their base is knitted and not woven. Our AK TRADING CO. Panne Velvet is a soft, lustrous, lightweight velvet with flattened pile. They are excellent for creating stylish evening wear, dance costumes, leotards, loungewear, tops, dresses and children's apparel. Also used as home decorating such as tablecloths, curtains (theather/stage curtains).
100% polyester crushed panne velour velvet.
Measures 60 inches wide. Stretches in the width of the fabric.
Great for any purpose except upholstery.
Medium weight fabric (250-260 grams/yard).
Works great as drapes as long as the stretch portion runs side to side. Frequently used for peasant dresses, display tables, various costumes and clothing.
Machine washable and low tumble dry.
